TINY WATERCOLOR FLOWERSCAPE: OCTOBER FERNS
This listing is for an UNFRAMED, ORIGINAL botanical watercolor artwork. This ORIGINAL mixed-media piece features a beautiful autumn forest landscape painted in watercolor on handmade, deckled-edged paper, finished with a collection of small pressed flowers/ferns. The plant material was pressed by hand through a chemical- and dye-free process. This tiny piece measures approximately 2x3" and is float mounted on a matboard measuring 4x6", which makes it easily frameable! The piece can be removed from the mat board as well if you choose to go with a different framing style. Please note that the listing photos illustrate the exact piece you will receive.
This piece is the perfect way to bring a bit of botanical beauty to your home, and makes a perfect gift!
Please note that colors may differ slightly based on monitor settings. Display away from direct/bright sunlight to help delay the natural fading process of these pressed flowers.
Your piece will ship inside a cellophane sleeve with a rigid backing board inside a rigid mailer to prevent bending.

Every item in the shop features real plant material. The ferns, leaves, and flowers will retain their distinct shape and detail for as long as the piece is cared for (protected from moisture and bending). Depending on the plant or flower, varying degrees of color shift/fading will naturally occur over time. While this transition is beautiful and is inherent in the organic nature of my work , if you would like to delay it, take care to keep your item(s) from direct sunlight. High exposure to UV light will hasten the fading or browning of flowers and leaves.
Ideally, you would display your wall hanging away from direct or strong sunlight, not directly in or in front of a window. If you choose to display it in this way, understand that natural fading will be greatly accelerated. Your plants and flowers will maintain their beautiful and unique shape, but color will quickly fade.
In most cases, yes! I am able to receive fresh wedding bouquets and preserve the flowers to create a keepsake from your special day. There are several product options available; please contact me in advance of your wedding to discuss details, options, and to secure your date (availability is limited). At this time, I am unable to work with previously dried (but not pressed) bouquets, as they are extremely brittle and will not work with my process.
No; at this time, my work is available primarily through my own retail Etsy shop.
